{"id":1835,"date":"2008-08-14T01:13:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-14T01:13:00","guid":{"rendered":"0"},"modified":"2008-08-14T01:20:33","modified_gmt":"2008-08-14T01:20:33","slug":"i_was_amused_an","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/marcdanziger.com\/?p=1835","title":{"rendered":"I Was Amused, And Now I&#8217;m Outraged &#8211; The Press Turns A Blind Eye To Edwards&#8217; Affair."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Not at John Edwards, who&#8217;s just a fallible person, but at the press who effectively acted as his beards during his affair.<\/p>\n<p>Take a look at this picture, shot by Robert Scoble from <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.washingtonpost.com\/the-trail\/2008\/08\/11\/edwards_took_mistress_on_2006.html\" target=\"browser\">the Washington Post today<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><center><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Scoble-Edwards.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.windsofchange.net\/Scoble-Edwards.jpg\" width=\"454\" height=\"341\" \/><br \/>\n<\/center>Take a look at the body language of Edwards and Hunter, sitting next to him as the reporters question him (<a href=\"http:\/\/althouse.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/want-to-keep-talking-about-edwards.html\" target=\"browser\">Hamsher<\/a> calls it &#8220;holding court&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>WTF? <\/p>\n<p>Who are the two reporters sitting and talking to them? Either they are the most clueless and disinterested men on the planet &#8211; and thus unqualified to be reporters &#8211; or they were in the tank for Edwards and covering up his behavior &#8211; and thus unqualified to be reporters. Someone help me figure out who they are so I can publicly shame them.<\/p>\n<p>Like I said, I&#8217;m uninterested in paying for <b>crap<\/b> media.
