{"id":2368,"date":"2010-10-10T18:04:11","date_gmt":"2010-10-10T18:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"0"},"modified":"2010-10-10T18:06:24","modified_gmt":"2010-10-10T18:06:24","slug":"why_i_dont_auto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/marcdanziger.com\/?p=2368","title":{"rendered":"Why I Don&#8217;t Automatically Bow To The Superior Wisdom Of Our Political Class"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apparently, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2010\/10\/why-is-this-gop-house-candidate-dressed-as-a-nazi\/64319\/\" target=\"browser\">a guy who managed to become a well-regarded GOP Congressional candidate has an interesting hobby &#8211; he dresses up as a Waffen-SS officer<\/a> and participates in WW II re-enactments.<\/p>\n<p>Now I don&#8217;t know enough to judge his choice of character (I&#8217;m sure there are Redcoat re-enactors who don&#8217;t wish the Yankees lost the Revolutionary War). But I do know enough to wonder &#8220;what the hell was he thinking?&#8221; How in the wide, wide world of sports can someone get to a position where they are running for Congress and not think &#8220;Hmmm.
