{"id":1087,"date":"2006-05-09T19:26:43","date_gmt":"2006-05-09T19:26:43","guid":{"rendered":"0"},"modified":"2006-09-28T12:09:45","modified_gmt":"2006-09-28T12:09:45","slug":"gonna_sit_right","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marcdanziger.com\/?p=1087","title":{"rendered":"Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Le Monde has <a href=\"http:\/\/medias.lemonde.fr\/mmpub\/edt\/doc\/20060509\/769629_lettre.pdf\" target=\"browser\">an English translation of Mahmood Ahmadi-Najad&#8217;s letter<\/a> to George Bush.<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t have a lot to do with diplomacy, not as we practice it.<\/p>\n<p>And, as always, since it&#8217;s a translation &#8211; note <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windsofchange.net\/archives\/008583.php\" target=\"browser\">the post below<\/a> on the issues with good translations.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll just quote the closing lines:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Liberalism and Western style democracy have not been able to help realize the ideals of humanity. Today these two concepts have failed. Those with insight can already hear the sounds of the shattering and fall of the ideology and thoughts of the liberal democratic systems.<\/p>\n<p>\nWe increasingly see that people around the world are flocking towards a main focal point \u2013 that is the Almighty God. Undoubtedly through faith in God and the teachings of the prophets, the people will conquer their problems.
