And that we in the U.S. are writing the checks to keep the guards paid.<\/p>\n<p>Bloggers have been encouraging their readers to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamsaweb.com\/alaa\" target=\"browser\">sign an online petition<\/a>, which will automatically generate emails to Egypt&#8217;s US ambassador, the Egyptian PM, and the Egyptian Minister of the Interior as well as to email David Welch (<a href=\"mailto:nea-ela@state.gov\">nea-ela@state.gov<\/a>), the Assistant Secretary and head of the State Department\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.state.gov\/p\/nea\/\" target=\"browser\">Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The best site is at <a href=\"http:\/\/freealaa.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"browser\">www.freealaa.blogspot.com<\/a>.
