{"id":2411,"date":"2011-01-01T20:46:32","date_gmt":"2011-01-01T20:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"0"},"modified":"2011-01-01T20:52:15","modified_gmt":"2011-01-01T20:52:15","slug":"happy_new_year_2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marcdanziger.com\/?p=2411","title":{"rendered":"Happy New Year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been the Absent Blogger lately, and the Management is working to see what it can do about that for the coming year.<\/p>\n<p>But I didn&#8217;t want New Year&#8217;s to pass without sharing a greeting, and expressing how happy and relieved I am that 2010 &#8211; a year of loss, risk, and fear for so many &#8211; that our family was truly lucky and blessed. <\/p>\n<p>This picture &#8211; our Christmas card for the year &#8211; says it all.<\/p>\n<form mt:asset-id=\"224\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"XMas2010_edited-1.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.windsofchange.net\/media\/XMas2010_edited-1.jpg\" width=\"490\" height=\"240\" class=\"mt-image-center\" style=\"text-align: center; display: block; margin: 0 auto 20px;\" \/><\/form>\n<p>The photographer, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pullmanphoto.com\/\" target=\"browser\">Stephanie Pullman<\/a>, did a number of portraits of the boys when they were very young. I happened to run into her at a Long Beach Opera performance, and amazingly she recognized me.<\/p>\n<p>It was that kind of year for us, and I hope that the luck we&#8217;ve had this year will continue into the next.<\/p>\n<p>And I hope that each of you is as fortunate in the ways that matter to you.<\/p>\n<p>Happy New Year, and lift a mug of coffee to absent companions.<br \/>\n&#8211;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Armed Liberal had a lot of fortune in 2010.
