My kinda serious comments on <a href=\"http:\/\/windsofchange.net\/archives\/003041.html\" target=\"browser\">American political history<\/a> or on <a href=\"http:\/\/windsofchange.net\/archives\/003051.html\" target=\"browser\">&#8216;bug out kits&#8217;<\/a> over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.windsofchange.net\/\" target=\"browser\">Winds of Change<\/a> didn&#8217;t get nearly the reaction. So I know what&#8217;s important to <u>you<\/u> people&#8230;or what you think I might know anything about.<br \/>\nIt got fairly widely linked, and then <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instapundit.com\" target=\"browser\">Instalanched<\/a>, and as a result hopefully I will get to have some interesting dialogs with some new folks.<br \/>\nIn other ego-preening news, I (or at least my pseudonym) got into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\" target=\"browser\">The Atlantic<\/a>!! In print!! Thanks to <a href=\"http:\/\/mediaminded.blogspot.com\/2003_02_01_mediaminded_archive.html#90279093\" target=\"browser\">Media Minded<\/a> for ferreting this out&#8230;I stood by the mailbox waiting for my copy for five days!!<br \/>\nIf my mother knew I was doing this, she&#8217;d be so proud&#8230;<br \/>\nSpeaking of dialogs, I&#8217;ll be at the <a href=\"http:\/\/boingboing.net\/blogosphere.html\" target=\"browser\">Blogging Event<\/a> in Chinatown Saturday night; I&#8217;m looking forward to meeting some other blogfolks (Tenacious G is tolerant of it&#8230;).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, golly&#8230; &#8230;it&#8217;s funny how the things that I do that are just thrown out there seem to get the biggest responses; as opposed to the things I sweat over and worry about.
