{"id":556,"date":"2004-10-10T19:05:06","date_gmt":"2004-10-10T19:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"0"},"modified":"2006-09-28T12:08:49","modified_gmt":"2006-09-28T12:08:49","slug":"sadr_army_surrenders_weapons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/marcdanziger.com\/?p=556","title":{"rendered":"Sadr Army Surrenders Weapons?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Iraq the Model is <a href=\"http:\/\/iraqthemodel.blogspot.com\/archives\/2004_10_01_iraqthemodel_archive.html#109742521579715233\" target=\"browser\">reporting<\/a> this great news:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>In what looks like a massive recession for Muqtada and his followers; \u201cMehdi Army\u201d decided to give in all their medium and heavy weapons to end their violent activities and obey the laws as a first step enter the political and electoral process.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cconditions\u201d that were put by Muqtada in return are no more than an attempt to tell the public opinion that this is not a surrender, as the \u201ccondition\u201d related to the release of the arrested members of \u201cMehdi Army\u201d was followed by the statement \u201cexcept those found guilty of crimes\u201d and this is an important development and a clear acceptance for the existing administration.. Another important development was that for the fist time Muqtada\u2019s spokesman referred to the coalition forces as the multinational forces, not the occupation forces or aggressors and the usual crap.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Damn!
