One of them is requests to link to worthy projects; one is a charity that aids malnourished kids around the world – the International Medical Corps.

Chosen out of 1,190 projects, “Saving the Lives of Malnourished Children” is now eligible to receive up to $1.5 million in funding. The project with the most votes receives $1.5 million, 2nd receives $500,000, 3rd $300,000, and 4th and 5th $100,000. The funding – made possible by your votes – would bring a vital lifeline to hungry and malnourished children around the world.

  1. Brian H appears to be correct. From the website:

“Only Cardmembers can submit projects and vote for the winning projects”

Non-Cardmements can join the discussion boards.

  2. American Express is currently running an ad making fun of people who don’t have a sophisticated card like AmEx, but instead have some personalized card with a superhero on it.

Some of us bitter, dead-enders in flyover country still cling to our Capitol One Dungeons and Dragons themed credit cards.

  3. I’m probably being churlish with comment #4. It sounds like a good cause. I’ll leave my comments about AmEx advertising to another day.

  4. Thank you so much Marc! With your help and that of everyone else IMC has made the top five of the AMEX challenge! All the organizations in the final round now start from scratch and we have until Oct. 14th to collect as many votes as possible to win the 1.5 million. If you could vote again or even alert your readership to the need to vote again, it would be amazing. Thanks again!
