Here’s Jerry Brown’s announcement speech.
…there’s a lot in here that I like, And, having worked for him before, I can say that he’s stiffnecked and even crazy enough that he may just mean what he says.

A mandate to do something “outside the box” is probably exactly what’s needed, and I can’t think of anyone better suited to bring that to the table than Governor Moonbeam.
Lots of people are doing stuff outside the box in California. They’re moving their business out to Nevada, Wisconsin, Tennessee, et. al…
. . . which would be what exactly? It seems to me that a lot of people liked a lot of the things they thought Obama said as well. Then it turned out that he didn’t really say much in the way of anything (substance-wise) but did so in a way that made a lot of people think that he was agreeing with them.
I think that the policies that Jerry Brown has supported or enacted in the past are a better indication of what he’ll actually try to do if elected as governor.
I suppose it’s theoretically possible that the guy who is now running for governor while saying that he was the one responsible for allowing public employee unions to collectively bargain will be the one to finally stand up to the 800 pound gorilla they’ve become.
I wouldn’t say it’s likely though.

Uh, only Nixon can go to China?
