Blackfive (or “Daddy Blackfive” as we call him) has a post up on Soldier’s Angels, a charity that assists wounded soldiers and their families. It’s stunningly obvious that they should not have to rely on charity, and yet the fact is that they do – and supporting that charity seems like a damn good thing to do.
Note that I’m still in favor of your giving lunch money to these guys as well…they all do good, they all need help.
FYI, Soldiers Angels are already included in Winds of Change.NET’s “comprehensive Support the Troops post.”:http://www.windsofchange.net/archives/003234.php Lots of options there.
Have to say this really pisses me off. That soldiers families have to go hat in hand to put bread on the table is a disgusting display of how wacked our government and policy is.
Why shouldn’t they have to rely on charity? Those individuals who support the soldiers and their actions should bear responsibility for financing their missions and insurance costs.
