In the spirit of my high school years, which were spend debating Weber carburators vs. Solex and Holley, I want to point out that we just got Verizon fiber run to our house.
15Mbps downloads…ooooh…speedy…
Yes, I am a geek.

Honestly, at some point it gets to be like the microwave fireplace idea.
Spend an entire evening by the fire in just 20 seconds.
Envy reigns triumphant. Enjoy!
I am seriously jealous, with my puny 3 Mbps DSL.
I have 2 mega in brasil. come on. seriously.
I have a 6 Mb/s connection here… should I activated the 20 Mb/s option? A small sum, una tantum, and I’d be ready to go…
With small files (1 – 2 megabytes) at cable modem speeds – most of the time is spent waiting for the servers to respond.
AL,
Given your youth, the argument should have had fuel injection systems included. My gen thought the Stromberg carb for flathead V8’s was the ultimate, except for the rich kids who had access to the great 283 fuely from Chevrolet ’57 and on.
Gotta go with #6, while I only have 1MB+/- DSL, spend more time waiting for site server than actual download time.

LOL – Mike, I learned to drive stickshift cars in a friend’s brand-new 440 Magnum Plymouth GTX…it was so easy it was kind of like cheating.
