I don’t recall ever seeing a fence at the top of the corkscrew, but I haven’t followed much racing in recent years. Was I simply unobservant all that time? Is it put in for the bikes? Was it put in because of the Gonzalo Rodriguez (CART) accident?
Well, it’s been there for at least four or five years – along the right side of and note that the shooter was using a long lens, which means it’s further from the track than it looks. I think they did make all the fences higher when they did the changes for MotoGP, though.
But I seem to recall a fence being in the 7 – 8 transition and the end of the Rahal Straight since I last did a class there…
