Maybe the guy who wrote that article should actually read a history of the Crusades. Perhaps he should also realize that neither the Islamic nor Christian nations ever regarded themselves as a single bloc, except for perhaps during the First Crusade on the Christian side and the original expansion under the Caliph Umar against the Byzantines (who had so thoroughly oppressed their Near Eastern provinces that they went over to the more tolerant Muslims without a serious fight, as did Visigothic Spain). *sigh*It’s becoming more and more accepted in American society to be openly anti-Arab and anti-Muslim, much as it once must have been acceptable to be anti-Jewish. I guess you have to hate someone.
