Avedon — I’m one of the very few men who actually has tried it…*grin*. I was a bicycle racer in college and for a while after, and cyclists shave their legs (minimizes the inevitible road rash, plus muuuch better for massage).Inevitibly, I had a g/f who suggested I get waxed.So off we went to some salon in Santa Cruz; fortunately, or unfortunately, it was fairly hip, so it wasn’t occupied by any of the grannies who’d cleaned me out at poker that year, instead it was full of women young and attractive enough that when I screamed in pain, their laughter was particularly hard to take.When the ‘waxist’ tried to reach down and pull off the second sheet is as close as I’ve ever come to striking a woman outside a dojo……there’s nothing like crying in front of a large group of attractive women to cement your masculine security. Birkenstocks are NOT required to be a Green!Nor do you have to like tofu or be vegan…A belief that the system really can be changed (and humanized) is helpful though..
