  1. Is this a ruse by ammunition manufacturers to sell their product? Can consumerism be considered a political statement? Are you willing to support the gov’t you don’t trust with overseeing guns with the sales taxes derived from ammo purchases?

  2. To satisfy Darryl’s concerns, I’ll plan on LOADING 100 rounds, rather than buying them. And I’ll use mail order suppies, to avoid the sales tax issue.
    So there!

  3. Darryl, I can assure you that Ammo Day is not a “ruse” by the ammo industry. My husband and I started the event and we are not connected or associated with the gun and/or ammunition industry, nor do we benefit in any financial way.
    Thanks for the link.

  4. I am a new visitor to this site… are you guys for or against this event? Please explain your rationale behind such a stance. Personally, I am indifferent to
    National Ammo Day.

  5. Now I know: Nat’l Ammo Day is a grass-roots effort (thanks, Mrs. du Toit); and, consumerism CAN be a political statement (thanks, AL).
