Our Saturday

rings.JPG

Me:
I chose this ring for you because it sparkles and is brilliant and because I hope that when you look at it every day, it will remind you of how I see you – brilliant and sparkling and precious. But you are more dazzling to me than any jewel, and your love far more precious than gold. Take this ring as a token to remember forever that you are wonderful and that I am so lucky to be yours.

Her:
I present you with this ring because it symbolizes the unique and awesome person you are. You impress me in so many ways. You are my model of strength and determination. Yet, like the lovely swirls of gold and silver on this ring, everything in your life is touched with sweetness and compassion. I am lucky and happy to be a very important part of your life. Take this ring and my love and devotion.

  1. Great looking rings- glad you stayed away from the plain gold bands. Best of luck always, enjoy the honeymoon (hope you’re going someplace warm and exotic).

    Love & Best Wishes

  2. Beautiful on all counts! (I’m all verklempt now.) Congratulations, blessings and best wishes – may your lives together be everything you’ve hoped for.

  3. Congratulations Joe. May the sun light your days with happiness, may your arguments never linger, and may you always find each other as amazing and inspiring as you do this very moment – long life and happiness to you both – Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! 🙂

  4. Congratulations!

Remember that in the course of your day to day lives the gold will becomed nicked and scratched, but it will never tarnish. These nicks and scratches will subtlely change the look of the rings, making them unique to the two of you!

    Best Wishes!

  5. AL, you’re a great guy, and I picked up on TG’s incredibly sweet spirit just from sitting across from her in your van after Dave Trowbridge’s wedding. Every blessing to you both. I hope we can all get together again sometime.

  6. Whew. It’s Monday evening, and we just got everyone off to the airport (including Joe K, earlier in the day – but he can tell you all about his adventures…).

Thanks to you all for the good wishes; added to those we got at the event, we’re just swimming in them, and intend to for quite some time.

We’re off for a few days. Back in the saddle Saturday.

    A.L.

  7. Best wishes for great and continued happiness. You’ve increased the degree of inequality of the distribution of happiness, but I don’t think your taxes should go up as a result! 🙂

  8. This is wonderful – thanks for sharing this tidbit. The love between you two shines bright and strong.
