OK, this is weird.
The man who set himself on fire in front of the White House yesterday was apparently a Yemeni national who had been an undercover informant to the FBI in antiterrorism cases, including one or two major ones, according to the Washington Post.
Alanssi, who described himself as a once-successful businessman in Yemen, also said he was upset with the FBI because agents had not kept promises they made to secure his cooperation. Those promises included a large, but unspecified, amount of money, eventual U.S. citizenship and protection of his identity, he said.
Alanssi said that he went to the FBI in New York shortly after the 2001 terrorist attacks and offered information on alleged financers of al Qaeda working in Yemen. He said he quickly became a major informant for the FBI, on occasion traveling to Yemen to gather intelligence.
He volunteered that the FBI paid him $100,000 in 2003. But he said he had been expecting much more because he said some agents told him he would “be a millionaire.” And although he was promised permanent residency in this country, he said, he has not received it.

The political higher-ups at the FBI often screw-up the efforts of the field agents.
Your readers should also take a look at Steven Butler and his informant.
Two of the 9-11 hijackers, Khalid Almihdhar and Nawaf Alhazmi, lived with Abdussattar Shaikh in California. Shaikh was an FBI asset controlled by former FBI special agent Steven Butler.
Butler’s closed testimony to the 9-11 Commission was described as “explosive” and again highlights another (intentionally) missed opportunity to stop that tragedy.
Needless to say, Shaikh was not allowed to testify and has fallen off the radar. Butler understands the need to keep his testimony quiet.
I hope we are all around 50 years from now to uncover the real truth surrounding 9-11.

Look at pages 156-157 of the House 911 report. In late 1999, the National Security Agency was already aware that the location in Yemen was a AQ logistics facility (calls were made to this facility by Odwhali (sic), a suspect in the US embassy bombings, as well as by Bin Laden himself over his Immarsat phone).They were also aware that Khalid, Al Hazmi and Salem (Al Hazmis’ younger brother)had made contact with this location. Further calls were made to this facility (by Khalid) in ‘early 2000’.Remember, al Midhar and Al Hazmi went on to Bangkok (then to Los Angeles) from Malaysia in January 2000, after the meeting in KL.
The specific day/month of 2000 Khalid made the call(s)is redacted….however, it is likely it was early January, given NSA reported the contact to CIA,FBI and the CTC in ‘early January’.
This means that the NSA knew 2 AQ operatives were in LA in early 2000 and were making calls to an AQ safe house in Yemen.
What was done with this information?
Why did the FBI have to look at phone records after 9/11 to find this out?
