My day job is sending me to the UK the week after this. I’ll be in Guildford and Derby, primarily, and only have limited free time.
But I’d love tips on things to do or see there, and it’d be a treat to connect with any UK bloggers.

Around Derby I’d suggest visiting Dove Dale and round about in the Peak District, for the countryside.
There’s the Elizabethan palace of Hardwick Hall not too far away IIRC. And the home of Lord Curzon, Viceroy of India at Kedleston.
The cable car at the Height of Abraham.
If you’ve an interest in industrial history, the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site is a must.
If you’re pressed for time, go for the mills: one of the birthplaces of the industrial revolution.
Haven’t a clue about Guildford, though.
